Viable is our platform to express functional fitness programming. Our passion is providing people of all fitness levels with the ability to excel at the challenges we face in the real world. We have worked hard to create a fun, effective, and inclusive fitness community. Everyone who walks through our doors is accepted for who they are and then challenged to get better! Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just getting started on your fitness journey, we will meet you right where you are. Stick with it. Hit the workouts with intensity. Embrace variance. Q: What is Functional Fitness?
Want to get in the best shape of your life no matter your age? You just need to start! Some of the movements include: pushups and pullups, deadlifts and squats, gymnastics, kettle bells, running, rowing, and olympic lifting. All of these exercises are performed in a constantly varied and functional manner performed at a high intensity in a coach-led class setting. Each workout has a tangible score or result so the room for improvement will always be there! While the program challenges the world's fittest, it is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual, regardless of experience. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change the program. The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree, not kind.
Q: Do I need experience or some minimum level of fitness to start?
Nope. We scale to any fitness level. This means every movement and weight can be adjusted to give you the best opportunity to get in a good workout. By adjusting workouts, coaches allow the fittest people and first-timers to train side by side—and both groups become healthier. The best part: The experienced athlete and the new person will bump fists at the end of the workout, each knowing the other just overcame a challenge.
Q: Why coach-led group fitness?
Because it works. You are more likely to keep coming back when you form relationships with other athletes in your classes and the coaches. There is also a level of accountability in a class that is non existent when working out by yourself. And it sure doesn’t hurt to push even harder, when you look over and see the person next to you working just as hard. Bottom line, everyone wants to feel part of something bigger than themselves.
Q: Where are we located?
1810 W. 50th Street Suite 1 Sioux Falls, SD just off the Western Avenue and I-229 exit.
Q: I’m just visiting the area, but I belong to a gym back home. Can I drop in for a WOD?
Come join us! Drop-in rate is $20 or buy a shirt for $20 and class is FREE.
Q: Do you have child care?
Childcare is not currently available. However, children are always welcome as long as they can sit quietly and
safely while unattended. Children are not allowed on the gym floor during classes for safety reasons.
Q: What do I need to bring?
Yourself. Gym apparel and cross training shoes. You will be running, jumping, lifting, and all sorts of other movements. You will sweat. You might get dirty.
Q: Can I just come and work out on my own?
You are welcome to come in during open gym hours and get in some extra work!
